A career in arboriculture is very rewarding and enjoyable for those with an interest in the industry. Some find it to be their most passionate calling in life as well as their livelihood. With a history that dates back to 1981, we provide a comfort level that allows for a solid and steady future where all our employees are deeply valued and cared for. Many of our staff have over 20 years of dedicated service to our company, with some over 30 years.

Consulting Arborist

For those interested in trees and forests, the career of a consulting arborist is well worth pursuing. Helping old trees live a long healthy life or guiding the growth of a small tree throughout the years, offers many great rewards. The education required to restore life to an ailing tree or give support to a struggling tree, provides a feeling of great accomplishment and a warm heart.

Career Interest

Tree Climber or Trainee / Escalador de árboles o aprendiz

For those that enjoy working outside and have the physical and mental abilities, being a tree climber can be an ideal job. The job requires proper training and the ability to work up to 100 feet off the ground, often in difficult weather conditions. It does not require big muscles or size but rather, a high strength to weight ratio. The number of female tree climbers is increasing within our industry, which we are happy to see. Having a current Texas Driver’s License is a big plus.

If you have any level of training or an interest in learning the art of climbing, we would like to hear from you. 

Para aquellos que disfrutan trabajar afuera y tienen las habilidades físicas y mentales, ser trepador de árboles puede ser un trabajo ideal. El trabajo requiere entrenamiento y la capacidad de trabajar a una altura de hasta 100 pies del suelo, a veces en condiciones climáticas difíciles. No requiere gran músculo o tamaño, sino más bien una alta relación fuerza-peso. El número de mujeres trepadoras de árboles está aumentando dentro de nuestra industria, lo cual nos alegra ver. Tener una licencia de conducir de Texas vigente es una gran ventaja.

Ground Person or Trainee / Ramero o aprendiz

The ground person is an entry level position in the industry that requires working outside and the physical capabilities to move brush and logs, or rake an entire yard. Those without industry experience typically begin as a ground person, with some staff learning to be tree climbers over time. It is a great place to start in the industry for the right person. Having a current Texas Driver’s License can be a big plus.

El Ramero es un puesto de nivel de entrada en la industria que requiere trabajar afuera y las capacidades físicas para mover ramas y troncos, o rastrillar un jardín completo. Los que no tienen experiencia en la industria generalmente comienzan como ramero, y algunos miembros del personal aprenden a ser trepadores de árboles con el tiempo. Es un gran lugar para comenzar en la industria para la persona adecuada. Tener una licencia de conducir de Texas vigente puede ser una gran ventaja.

Fertilization Technician

The fertilization technician position requires a current Texas Driver's License and the ability to work effectively with our clients.  Also, the ability to work outside, though no previous experience is required. The position involves driving a truck equipped with water tanks and a pump around the area to fertilize trees. A hose connected to the pump is used with a probe inserted into the soil for deep root fertilization. This job can be physically demanding and requires interacting with our clients.

For those with the ability and interest, we provide training and assist technicians in becoming Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Certified in product application.
