Chris Brewer joined Arborilogical Services as a Certified Consulting Arborist in the summer of 2004, and he became the company’s Safety Officer in 2009.
Chris was born in Maryland in the suburbs of the District of Columbia. His father traveled extensively; including to Okinawa, Laos, as well as Thailand, leading Chris to want to do the same. Chris joined the United States Navy in 1974; finishing his high school education at sea.
At the age of 19, Chris began his career as an apprentice in tree care and tree climbing with the oldest residential tree care company in Virginia, Foreman and Biller (established in 1919). He became a Licensed Tree Expert in 1977 in the state of Maryland. Chris went on to lead production crews in the District of Columbia for 25 years. Many of those years were spent working for Growing Earth, another well-respected company in tree care management.
In 2002, Chris took two-years off for knee replacement surgery due to his many years of tree climbing. He spent ten-months recovering in Florida while also helping manage Westenburger’s Tree Service. It was following his recovery in the summer of 2004, when he made the best decision of his life - making a cross country move to Dallas, Texas to marry his high school sweetheart. Chris has enjoyed living and working in North Central Texas ever since.
