Nick Schiwitz joined the Arborilogical Services team in 2022 as a Certified Consulting Arborist and Degreed Forester. Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Nick has appreciated the Lone Star State’s natural resources from a young age. This enthusiasm is what led him to the Pineywoods to study Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University. While attending college, he also worked for the SFA Gardens where he helped maintain the university’s expansive gardens and trail systems to gain additional hands-on experience.
Following graduation, Nick moved back to the metroplex to work as a biologist for an environmental consulting firm where he conducted various environmental surveys and helped orchestrate a greenbelt restoration project for the City of Lewisville, Texas to improve their urban green spaces. During this time, he received his International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) arborist certification, and, more importantly, married his high school sweetheart.
Nick is a lifelong learner who has continued to educate himself on best tree care practices so that he can provide his clients with practical, scientifically based advice. He has taken many industry classes, attended professional meetings, and has become ISA Texas Oak Wilt Qualified and ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified during his tenure at Arborilogical Services.
Nick and his wife are passionate about the outdoors and the environment, spending their free time gardening, hunting, and generally anything else outside. He enjoys serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area and caring for the local trees that helped inspire his appreciation for the natural world.
