Members of the Elm Fork Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists will have a presentation on Vision North Texas at 9:30 a.m. today at the Joseph A. Carroll Building, 401 W. Hickory St. in Denton.

Vision North Texas is a private-public partnership designed to increase awareness about expected growth in North Texas and to involve people and organizations in initiatives that accommodate that growth successfully.

Steve Houser, owner/president of a Dallas-Fort Worth area Tree-Care Expert firm, is a Texas Master Gardener, a Texas Master Naturalist, a certified arborist, chairman emeritus of the city of Dallas Urban Forest Advisory Committee and past president of the Dallas Historic Tree Coalition.

He works to help others understand the value of regional watersheds and why native trees and plants are critical to water quality and quantity.

The Elm Fork Chapter has 110 active members from Denton, Wise and Cooke counties. For more information, visit txmn.org/elmfork.
