ARBORETUM

Learn everything there is to know about landscape design, organic gardening, arbor and turf care as the Dallas Arboretum kicks off its annual Adult Education Program beginning Saturday, Jan. 26, and continuing through May 21.

Programs will feature a variety of classes for all levels of gardeners. Arboretum staff and area horticultural experts will serve as instructors. Classes will take place at the Arboretum and Texas A&M at Dallas on Coit Road. Fees range from $7 to $80, with the average being $20. Admission and parking are included, so plan to stroll through the gardens after class.

Classes begin Saturday, Jan. 26, from 9:30am-11:30am with OUT ON A LIMB-How To Tame Your Trees, taught by Steve Houser, owner of Arborilogical Services, Inc. Price $20.

TEXAS NATIVES WITH STYLE will be held at 1pm-4pm Jan. 29, taught by Gail Kahle, Richland College Adjunct Horticulture Professor, who will show how to identify native trees and shrubs and incorporate them into your landscape. Price $20.
