PwC’s Dallas office partnered with the Dallas Mavericks for a third year to plant “Trees for Threes,” a program that’s part of the basketball team’s Guard the Planet initiative.

Members of the Mavericks, PwC and Arborilogical Services work together to plant a tree for every three-pointer made at home by the team in American Airlines Center during the regular and postseason.

"We are thrilled to continue our work with the Dallas Mavericks and Arborilogical Services to continue the 'Trees for Threes' program for the third consecutive year," said Tom Codd, PwC's North Texas managing partner in a statement. "PwC has a long history of serving clients in the Dallas market and a deep commitment to improving the city. We'll be cheering for the Mavericks this season and hope to plant even more trees this

In March through April 2012, the program planted 27 trees at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and 267 trees at Francisco "Pancho" Medrano Middle School and Skyline High School.

Mavericks fans can log onto the team’s website to see an up-to-date “Tree Ticker” of the trees that will be planted.
